Android Market - How to clear searched items?

I have several items that still appear in the "searched" list of the Android Market.

(These are in the window that appears when you type in a "search" item following a press of the magnifying glass at the top of the Market)

How do I clear (delete) them?

you can't do it unless you have root access...in other words we can't do it just yet : )

Cereal Killer - thanks for staying on topic with your response. Since we are limited with the amount of memory that is available to us - how it is managed will become increasingly important. Updating the OS - or at least proving options - to manage the cache should be an important consideration.

Im surprised that clearing the cache in the Market application doesn't clear the search history ... thats strange.

I guess it does it for other applications, but not the market.
