But does anyone know a quality telnet app? I actually run a BBS and most of the telnet clients I have used mess up the ANSI and ASCII..
Any suggestions?

Hmm.. Try AndroMUD, it's actually a MUD client (don't ask, I used to be into MUDs) but I think it can be used as a telnet client too.

I realize this is an old thread, but I too am looking for an ANSI/compatible telnet client for BBSing... zerosouls, were you ever able to locate a client that fit the bill?

Thanks Backnblack, I've already looked into those... unfortunately they didn't support ANSI; Lunaterm came really close (colors! woohoo!), but didn't properly display the high ASCII characters.
I use connect bot now.. works so great and supports ansi. I am sysoping my board right now from disneyland
