Use Root Explorer, I think it's best. Either that or Titanium Backup (:

Root explorer is telling me I can't move a file cause its a read only file, how do I switch it to read/write ? I tried tapping the button @ top to toggle on, but without any lucky... is there any other way?

When you tapped the button did it change from a r/w to a r/o?

Also if you are rooted, check to see if root explorer is allowed SU permissions by going into the superuser app.
