Have you tried documents to go? There is a free version, but the paid version will let you use Word, EXCEL, Powerpoint and open pdf files. You can get information on the dataviz website. Sometimes you can get the app for $9.99, on sale.

I really like docs to go. I gladly paid for the paid version for all it gives me. Turns my droid into a laptop.
