About LinkBacksIf you just install a newer version apk of an app, will it simply update the app and retain whatever info you currently have in it? Or will it be like a fresh install and start with no info in it? This is via astro btw, not through the market obviously

it seemed when i installed the new swype it erased the settings i had stored previously but i cant say for sure
what app are you talking about here

03-26-2010 05:02 AMIt will depend on the app coding itself, if poorly coded it will install and wipe, if better, then provisions are made for updating.
