It just says on the searching for GPS screen, anyone else have this problem? I go to uninstall updates and it goes back to the Beta version and it works just fine

No problems here. Sounds like it must be something on your end. I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue either.

Uninstall maps by going to settings, applications, manage applications, hit menu, filter, choose all, then go down the list until you find google maps, select it, and hit uninstall. After that, go back to the market and download it again.

Ive done that to de-install the updates which puts it back to beta and it works great. you think i should de install the entire program?

But did you uninstall the update through the market or through your settings?

I uninstalled all updates through the application settings on the phone, then when I ran google maps again it said it was in beta version. Ive tried a few times to reinstall the updates and it freezes again so I just deinstall the updates again and am now just running beta

Are you running stock or are you rooted and using someone's ROM?
