pinch zoom! you can zoom in to anywhere on the planet.. the closer you get, the more things that pop up. mostly wiki articles i think... anyway, you can go scope out area 51 if you want!

menu key, my location = it zooms in to where you are

In the car (keep your eye on the road!) it tracks where you are.

"Look around" lets you tilt-n-pan to view the horizon. Again, if moving you now zip along almost like in a moving street view.

This all means you can run around in the middle of the night or during a total eclipse and see where you are going. Except those cars likely aren't still there.

They need to use it for navigation...that would make it more useful.

The only downside to using it currently is that it uses a lot of juice from the battery and uses a lot of CPU power. Your droid can then turn into a hand warmer for us that live in the colder regions. I wouldn't say that it's usable right now for navigation. LOL

I think it's more useful for presentations and such, except we haven't figured out how to have the Droid be used with a projector.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't get the big deal about Google Earth.
Thank you to all who have served or are serving our great country. You're always in my thoughts and prayers.
