Backing up sms/mms

All my text messages were randomly erased on my droid recently for no reason whatsoever. I saw that this was a common problem so I was wondering if anybody knew of a good app that backs up all of your sms/mms messages onto either a memory card or online. I saw a bunch of apps that can do this but im also looking for the ability to recover them from the backup and put them back into the native messenger app. I don't mind paying for an app as long as it does what I want and is reliable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
