    iheartradio UPDATED!

It seems that the people at Clear Channel has finally listened to the outpouring of comments that Android users have been calling for. PLEASE FIX THIS APP! Well today they launched a new update! I've personally used it on my Droid, and it seems to be working just fine. Some comments I have read say that there may still be some bugs. I for one, and really happy to finally have this app in "working" order. Maybe they will listen to our next cry...Widget Please!

Just checked. It seems that landscape support is not yet a feature.

yup just updated mine. overall the app doesn't seem any different. i keep my phone docked all day at work. the only think i like about iheartradio over pandora is its shorter buffer. it seems that if pandora can't buffer enough of the song, it drops connection. iheartradio connects no matter how terrible the connection is, so i get some background noise, even if it is terrible.

The only thing that I don't like about Pandor is how it will only work for a limited amount of time. I used to LOVE iheartradio because I could listen to The Maxwell Show. That show was pulled. But at least I can listen to Coast-to-Coast late at night now, without the AM background noise.

If you don't subscribe to Pandora One (~ $35/Year), you only get 40 hours of listening time per month.

I love Pandora, so I have no qualms with subscribing.

    It is relatively new, AFAIK.

    http://blog.pandora.com/pandora/arch...t_updat_1.html

    FTA:

"The revised royalties are quite high - higher in fact than any other form of radio. As a consequence, we will have to make an adjustment that will affect about 10% of our users who are our heaviest listeners. Specifically, we are going to begin limiting listening to 40 hours per month on the free version of Pandora. In any given month, a listener who hits this limit can then opt for unlimited listening for the remainder of that month for just $0.99. In essence, we're asking our heaviest users to put a dollar (well, almost a dollar) in the tip jar in any month in which they listen over 40 hours. We hope this is relatively painless and affordable--the same price as a single song download. (Alternatively, they can upgrade to "Pandora One", our premium version which offers unlimited monthly listening in addition to its other benefits)."
