Wow this is simply amazing. I had read posts on this but assumed your phone had to be rooted to use it so I stayed away from it. All it took was installing apk file. I don't think I'll be using droid keyboard for a while. Though I wanted to use the F word to someone in a text and it kept putting duck. lol
Can't figure out how to put space between words either. I was doing the tutorial and got a message so when I went back it started from the beginning again so I exited out.
Just use if for your email addresses a few times. It learns. It now does all my emails correctly. It will learn screen names and everything else as well. If you wish to expedite the process you can either a) press and hold on a word, and then select 'add to dictionary' or b) under the system menu you can go ahead and add all the words/names ect that you know you will need.
Considering this is just a beta it's VERY impressive. Sadly it's all we're going to get for a while (Swype is not supporting end users, they are going after OEM...).
You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe
Just lift off the keyboard in Swype for a spit second between words and that will put a space in.
I just found rockon. It's a replacement music player with a slick 3D cube that displays your album artwork and lets you flip through it similar to the album view in itunes. It looks nice when showing off your phone.
+1 - WaveSecure - lifetime FREE accounts until Jan 31st.
Even if you don't want to keep the APP for now, I would get the FREE
account while they are available.
+1 for NewsRob
+1 for Swype, but beware, the DEV says it is time limited.
Also it is HUGE once you install (over 9 meg).
I had to remove it so that I could try some other APPS.
--Cherry Rplayer is my current Radio App
--I have removed all other browser APPs, and I am back to the stock one.
Tried xScope, and dolphin and really didn't see that much gain
--ANY file manager that is rated well on the market....
--Thinking of trying Screebl... saw it mentioned in another post and like what
they said about it
--I purchased Imagine Multi-Touch image manager
--Also purchased PRO Zoom Camera 5x
Many other APP's are not going to be that necessary once we have 2.1
