    On Handcent SMS, how to turn off counts beside names?

    Meaning the count of the number of SMS messages in that thread. I thought turning off "Display Message Counter" would do that, but clearly not. Help?

    I'm so excited to help someone. This is my first post here. BUT, I think I solved your (and it was also my) problem. You go to Settings>Custom style>Conversation List Setting>Show messages counter

    It is the last option and if you simply tap that entry, you can turn the counter off.
