    what makes a better backup/restore app

    i have both astro and titanium backup
    i have a rooted droid but the keybord has a bubble i just receved a new droid and i wanna move everything over


    i rooted using the thread Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version
    and then never flashed a rom
    G-NEX waiting to be rooted

    It seems that the general consensus is Titanium is the best.

    Yes it does but I've seen plenty of complaints about Ti and none really about MBP. I'm gonna have to check out Ti again.

    I prefer onthefly or EStrongs File Manager.
    They both store the actual app version number as part of the backed-up filename, which I need.
    I believe Astro uses sequential numbering for the backed up file.

    lol, you see complaints from people who don't purchase the full version. I use MyBackUpPro as well, doesn't hurt to have two.

    Titanium is the best, there is no doubt in my mind. One thing you can do is freeze the apps. MyBackupPro can't do that.

    I used astro before I rooted. One thing I can say both apps need, is a "select all" feature.

    Astro 2.5.2 does have a "Select All" feature to backup all apps.
    Its the checkbox at the top of all individual app checkboxes...
