Help with SetCpu App? please

i just downloaded this setcpu app on my rooted droid 2 and i dont know how to use it?

any help please?


also anyone have any suggestions to how to set my profiles on the app?

Well okay, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should set my profiles to?

I have tried most of the scaling governors and now just leave it on performance and the minimum speed at 400 MHz and the fastest at however fast I can make it. I see little to no difference in battery life among the different options.

i have profiles for... (max/min)

standard profile (1000/250)
charging (800/250)
battery < 80% (800/250)
battery < 60% (600/250)
screen off (600/250)


these are my settings but they are personal preference.
i have the max speed step down as the battery life lessens as to prolong the total usage before a complete battery drain.
