Rework Gmail App (Help)

Guys, I need help! From the inbox view, when you don't have enough emails to fill the screen, there's the grey gradient, that's more than likely a 2 pixel .9.png. I've looked everywhere in the app, and in framework, for that shade. I want to change it. Does anyone know which image the app is pulling to fill this void?

I'm trying to rework the whole gmail interface and have a lot more questions. This is just my first one, if someone knows and can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated!
