Thumbs up Motorola DC800 Bluetooth Stereo Transceiver - My Review

If anyone is not familiar with this product (I wasn't) I thought I would just post a quick review.

This inexpensive device plugs in a standard AC outlet and then connects to my home stereo though standard Red and White RCA cables.

Once connected, you can pair your Droid (or any other bluetooth audio device, such as an iPhone). You can then open up the music application and it play's wirelessly through the home stereo in all of its glory. With a range of a TRUE 30 feet it opens a whole new audio convenience.

On the DROID, the side volume controls even control the volume on the stereo (unlike the iphone which needs to be controled on the home stereo receiver).

I also tried a internet radio streaming program "xiialive" (formerly droidlive) and it worked great too.

Guests of my home, have all been wowed with both the audio quality as well as amazement factor of the having the music source in a pocket or just sitting there on the coffee table.

I ordered mine from Amazon.com although it seems very available from other sources if you google for the product.

    I give this device 4.5/5 stars .

DC800 works well and is a low-cost "provider"

But Motorola, in its infinite wisdom, does not even make the software available. Still being sold in numerous outlets, but the DC800 is a Motorola orphan. In fact, I have two of them and I cannot use either as, due to a tale of woe just too long, neither computer still contains that software. They worked just fine with both a Dell laptop and and IBM desktop.

Any ideas where to get or how to get that itty-bitty download would be much appreciated.
