About LinkBacksMy Droid Charge came with a USB/AC adapter thing that plugs into an AC outlet and it seems to work fine but it creates a high pitched whine that's driving me crazy. I want to get a replacement but I don't know if it matters what model/brand I get. Do I need to buy the official "Droid Charge" replacement charger by Samsung or will any ol' cheap charger work and not ruin my phone?

07-25-2011 08:56 AMBrand doesn't really matter except that some brands typically have better quality control than others. Any charger will work. Get one that supplies at least as much current as your stock one or else you'll have slower charge times.

07-25-2011 09:18 AMMy wife has a Droid Charge and got the same charger you got. I have and OG Droid, and about 6 chargers around the house. She uses each one because they all work as long as they're the USB chargers. You can go on Amazon and by like a pack of 3 chargers for like $5.
