Yes, a Class 6 is 3 times as fast as the card that came with the Droid, but where would one see that increased speed? Perhaps photos would be written to the card faster, but this isn't exactly a camera that I would use for rapid photo taking. Where would I see the difference in speed? Class 6, 16 GB cards are $50 to $60. What does that expenditure get me? I'm guessing little or nothing, but I don't really know.

This is intriguing... I did not know sd cards had different speeds, and any opportunity to increase my speed I will take it!!!

I'm sure this was intentional to keep this exclusive to Verizon. I wouldn't blame them, but it is an inconvenience to people who want to travel overseas.

My experience has been the higher class cards seem much less reliable and more prone to errors.

Thus far I've yet to own a handheld that could outrun a class two card.

    Can the motodroid?

My guess is that it shouldnt take too much in order to make it read an external storage device through the micro usb port. I played with it a bit using the charging cord hooked up to a linux pc.

Do the keychain micro sd to micro usb readers exist?

Do you mean one of these?

I think Verizon sells them but you can get them online and probably from ebay for next to nothing.
