ya, smoked glass has been my favorite look, just nothing like it, hopefully he puts out a new one soon!

i tried to use sapphire, but i couldn't get anything google related to work, couldn't add my gmail account, couldn't use market, nothing. so i factory reset and put on team chaos. anything i may have missed with sapphire to get it working right?

Did you apply the Gapps zip found on the 0.8.4 release page? This was made separate for legal reasons.

ya, i had that installed, but still nothing. i would try to add my gmail account so i could sync, but it would give me an error. i tried opening the market, and it would just close immediately.

A fresh install with wiping all partitions beforehand should solve that issue. Did you wipe before going to 0.8.4?

yeah, i wiped data/factory reset and wiped cache on the side just to be sure, and with that result.

would wiping all partitions make me lose all my backup data?

As long as you don't wipe your sd card, all your backups will stay right on there.

Smoked glass was my first theme after I rooted

Same here. Once I got rooted back in February, it was AdamZ's Smoked Glass for me. Now its Sapphire 0.8.4. ala Smoked Glass!

Sounds like the path I took too. SG...minus the fonts on sapphire. I found those hard to read. Loving the op and thread title but good to hear we may still see something new from him.

I ran with SG for 3 ROMs and loved them all...
AdamZ is missed, that's for sure!

Now I'm running BBv0.4 and it's great but a tad buggy...
(Funny since the name is Bugless Beast)
There are a few things that I think would be fixed if the v0.5 was released, but I think he's too busy playing with his new DroidX...

I'd love to come back to AdamZ, but I might have to try a 3rd DEV's offerings...

Im really happy that someone got added to the custom rom list at the top so i don't have to see adamz first. I wonder how many people we can add to the list before someone that isn't even developing gets removed? It will be a long list eventually.
Can i get my own section? I don't code or put out roms, but what's the difference.
