Am I the only one who had the nexus one boot up instead of the blue eye?

I had the blue eye for a sec, then the Nexus boot animation started. It's kind of cool, I don't mind it, though I do kind of like the blue eye better.

Same here....saw the blue eye and thought "cool" then the NexusOne theme started and thought well ok. Sort of wish I could get the blue eye back again though.

By the way, I'm the last person in the world who feels comfortable about rooting my Droid, and DM1.0 did it automatically for me. I love the things you can do when you root - mostly OC at 1000 mhz. When I read about this rom I asked yuyanks for some advice, and he gave me the pep talk about how easy this was to do, so I got enough courage to try it late tonight...and got it going first try. If I can successfully do this so can anyone else!

I didnt extract just copied rigght to the root.

ok sry that was the file name i had when it was downloading. on my computer its just "Smoked.Glass.v.5.0.1.rom" - the .tgz is the tar type file inside the zipped folder.

Okay this is the first time ive had trouble with roms but i downloading via Firefox and when i try to copy/paste the rom.tgz folder my computer freezes and i have to do a battery pull for my phone??

Argh. I guess its just time to buy a computer. Idk what's wrong. 4.5 and bb worked fine w/o computer. Oh well. Eventually someone will figure it out.

I downloaded the .rom.tgz w/ no errors, but i don't get any instructions for options and it's like it was never downloaded

I use cell for everything. its not so bad if youve never had a computer. you get used to it. I bought a nice laptop last year. pregnant wife scared dog and she destroyed laptop scren. never got it fixed.

rom.tgz is not a folder. It is a file you need to place on your \sdcard. When you do you will see it as an option after you enter SPrecovery. (Power + x)
Just throw the file over to your SD card and see if that works. Let us know the result.
