Not sure what is happening with your installs but I just went from CM6, did a full wipe, installed SS v4.5 (normal version, not "no-theme" version) and then installed my Theme (even downloaded a fresh copy from my link).. Everything is fine.

All I can say is make sure you have the latest version of my Theme...and here is no reason to run the Patch, that was for the prior version.

Sorry, I was hoping to find an issue to helo yuo guys, but I can't find anything wrong.

I think I installed the "no theme" version of SS. I guess I'll try the regular version and see what happens. Thanks for looking into it.

I did a clean install with the normal, themed version of SS 4.5 last week and let if run for a couple of days. Then I flashed the latest version of BG, and I still had the black text. I haven't really had time to play with it much more and I forgot about it :P, or else I would have followed up with you.

Anyway, I just flashed test 2 and that seems to have fixed the black on black scrolling notification text issue. The pulldown is transparent and there are no ill effects that I can find.

I have people posting black text on light backgrounds here that don't read at least the last one or two pages!

Take a look through the main thread. If the "test" update has been taken down, there's a good chance it's because he has incorporated the fix into the main theme. In fact, I'm pretty sure I read exactly that in one of the two threads.

"Progress bar" changed back to "SS Blue"
Maps v4.4
Twitter v1.0.2
Naked Contacts updated, look for more options in Settings>Call Settings
Mms "Black" app hopefully defaulted to Black background on initial install (fingers crossed)
A few others I can't remember at the moment.... :-)

You can recognize the updated file by the "c1" code in the file name...please delete prior downloads.

I use Missed Call for my SMS notifications ( i like the custom LED and audio for individual contacts). If I use Handscent notifications its all fine but using Missed Call notifications its black on black.

928 forgive me for sounding noob but i want to install your theme but i saw that you had mentioned something about needing to uninstall maps 4.4 in order for your theme to work? or were my eyes getting blury from my long day at work? OR do i just need to download the update.zip (revision c) and install that?

Did you have white text notifications for Missed Call on the normal SS v4.5 ????
