Trying to Unlock phone with Dead Screen

Hi Everyone,
If you have set everything up correctly with the HDMI cables and everything, when trying to connect your phone to your TV, and you see your phones screen but not the mouse pointer, why is that? If you can see the display, why wouldn´t you be able to see the mouse pointer. An OTG adapter is being used. Could it be that the wrong cable was purchased for the wrong phone? Thanks in andvance!

It depends what phone and what os. Some phones may not recognize the mouse curser. Also you could need a power adapter. We will need a little more information to help you.

Hi, Thanks for your answer. What info do you need exactly? I would be more than happy to provide it. I just need to find out why the mouse pointer won´t show up.
