Droid Razr won't connect to wifi

It continually notifies me that wifi is availiable. the network in my house comes up and I've typed in the password, it says it remembers it, I hit connect but nothing happens and then when I use the internet it uses 3g. My sister just got an iphone and was able to connect to our home wifi and I have no problems with it on my laptop. help anyone?? I'm a new droid user--I had dumbphone before!

I had to set up a smart action to automatically disable cellular data when I turn on wifi. Give that a try.

thanks I tried it but because it won't even connect to wifi the smart action wont work. I hit connect on the network but nothing happens
